Srida Resort and Cafe Chiang Mai
Srida Resort and Cafe Chiang Mai really made our trip to the Northwest of Thailand worthwhile as we stopped by while in Doi Saket to see what it was all about. My wifes sister lives there so we were recomended to check out this incredible little cafe and resort. Having been to many places around Thailand and 42 countries in the world, I must admit, I’ve never seen anywhere quite as charming as this place.

As you enter the resort just past the cafe at the entrance, you’ll find yourself walking onto an elevated platform walkway overlooking a beautiful rice field! The rooms are all conveniently situated with their own respect perspective and privacy.
After walking past the rooms you’ll come to a junction leading out to another larger and more factastic view of a palm tree lined lush rice field. Make sure to hop on the swing while you admire and appreciate the natural beauty around you.
Another highly memorable part of our visit were all the butterflies flying around, not sure if it was the resor itself or Doi Saket in general, but it certainly had an alluring atmosphere. And as if the scenery were photo worthy enough, they even provide interesting cultural props like these baskets and traps for fishing!
As you arrive and walk from the parking area to the main entrance you should already get a sense that you’re in for a treat. Immediately you’ll find yourself surrounded by hundreds of colorful hanging lanterns and even a traditional original tuk tuk!
As for the rooms, you can book and stay from October onwards and the accommodation prices typically start at around 1,990 baht a night.
Not only did we make the most of enjoyable this lovely natural environment but the food and beverages in the cafe were top notch! I was super impressed with their Khua kling which is a very spicy dry curry with minced sausage meat, it’s one of the most well known southern Thai food dishes.
Whtether you’re on a date, working remotely, or just on holiday, this place is the ultimate place to chill.
The facitilies also include a nice swimming pool with an infinity feel looking out towards the mountains.
In my home country of the United States of America, we as well as Mexico and Spain call this a sombrero, in Thailand it’s called a H̄mwk (pronounced moo-wauk).
I’m certainly looking forward to my next visit to the Chiang Mai and Doi Saket area so I can plan staying here for a few nights and giving you guys some more inside perspective and experience about this little diamond in the rough I’ve discovered.
